Pollinators on the Manitoba Tall Grass Prairie

The group had a pretty good idea that the orchid fell into the group of plants that would be pollinated by moths or nocturnal insects. The orchid's fragrance increases at dusk. Its shape and colour are attractive to moths, and the long spur where nectar is held acts as a reward for the visiting insect.
