Pollinators on the Manitoba Tall Grass Prairie

In the first phase of the project, the researchers set up a number of simple insect traps in order to find out what was visiting the Western Prairie Fringed Orchid. The pollen-bearing structures stuck to the Wild Cherry Sphinx's eyes was a fairly clear indication that this species was visiting the flower.
